greek/hebrew
I've started to realize...rather abruptly (as most of my realizations are) that I'm no longer 'talking to myself' in English.*
I'm rather excited about it...makes me feel more of a real linguist.

I spent a lot of time with Hebrew running around my head today.

*Yes, I talk to myself on occasion...specifically when alone in the dark. I'm referring here more to the inner labeling and theorizing that one does.

I think the real test of lingual knowlege is when you talk to yourself - and can't tell what language you were speaking in. Hmm...I wonder if you're already there?

Not yet...but maybe it's coming?

Languages never came easy for me but I worked hard at Spanish and finally got to a point where I was doing that myself - however I had to spend five months in Spain before I got to that point.

I haven't used my Spanish in ages and I find that I'm missing it.

Woo hoo for Spanish...redthought, my sis, spent time in Spain too. Now I'm envious of both of you.

*grin* It was a long time ago, it feels like an entirely different lifetime.

I'd recommend you go! I studied at the University of Salamanca which was a great town.
