Day Three and Four
21st-Mar-2004 02:27 pm
Didn't even think about posting until it was after midnight last night, so decided to leave Day Three's events til today.

Yesterday morning, popped over to the Aberdeen SDA church. Interesting, reminded me of the church I attended when I was very little. I haven't been to a church that small in quite a long time.

After that, we headed up to the Illicit Still for lunch...vegetarian fried breakfast was beyond-belief-wonderful. I gave Irn-Bru another go, and discovered when consumed in the country of origin and not from an aluminium can it has some merit.

(I managed to fall down the stairs to the Illicit Still and fall on my bum quite hard.)

The boys began torturing us with a secret intent to introduce us to some Scottish delicacy. And they would not have the information begged or threatened out of them.

Headed back from there to ybunny's flat and acquired a hatter. We all lazed about on the living room floor and watched Billy Connolly Live. Since I'd decided that 7:30am was a reasonable time to be up, I took a short nap and only got up when ybunny came to rouse me to head down to the Ambassador's for some pool.

The Ambassador's is a pool hall that apparently thinks that it has an American flair based on the numerous Budweiser and Miller paraphenalia scattered about the place. I had my arse whipped by archie_rss and then we headed over to the Kurri Lounge.

I know this is extreme Anathema to all Abredoanians and other vistors to Aberdeen, but the Kurri Lounge will not be taking top honors in my list of Indian restaurants. However, it was quite lovely and definitely will go in the top ten.

On the meandering path we took from the Kurri Lounge, we stopped and discovered what the boys secret was...Fried Mars Bars. Oh, the Ick Factor was unbelievable.

Back again to ybunny's and more Red Dwarf until bedtime.

Today, we got up late. After two rounds of dishes, some toast and Marmite (mmmm...), tea, and general chatting with ybunny, hatter, and archie_rss we've headed round to percible's.

Currently sitting on the couch while many video games are being played round about. shineyquarter and I may head out later for the ingredients of the risotto that I didn't bring with (brought saffron, carnaroli rice, and boullion...we need garlic, onions, wine, mushrooms, perhaps another vegetable, and a larger pot since neither ybunny nor percible seems to have one big enough.)

(Oh, and I have a large bruise on my bum from the fall. Nice.)

I don't think much else will happen today...except perhaps more Red Dwarf? :)

What's in a vegetarian fried breakfast? More tomatoes, mushrooms, and baked beans, and less bacon, haggis, and black pudding?

It was tomatoes, mushrooms, scrambled eggs, potatoe scones, potatoe cake, and some kind of raisen-y cinnamon-y thing.

Very, very good. As I don't do the eating of things that had eyes or moved under their own power. :)

We are having a marvelous time.

Say hi to all those nice boys for me. I looked at some pictures last night of my own trip. It was fun :)

Well, Tom and Gordon say hi...though Matt is too busy geticulating. :)

I'll get his attention later... Well, if he ever stops talking... :p

Well give them all some hugs then. Goodness knows they can all use them. I still have pictures to send (yeah yeah, procrastination).
