No surprises, a bit of a lie-in. Some shopping about. (I'm seeing a trend...) In the evening, we went round to ybunny
's parents. Scared stiff. Luckily, we seemed to get on rather well. Note to self: Saying that something is 'quite nice' is not a compliment. Bear in mind.
Hope to be seeing them again when ybunny
's brother Jack comes up from Glasgow.Tuesday:
Even later lie-in, though this one was a bit accidental. We headed around to the maritime museum about 1pm. Mostly an interesting trip because I got to learn a bit more about what ybunny
does on the oil rigs. :)
We tried to find the Tollbooth Museum from there, but had no luck. Hmm... We did find the Illicit Still, so we stopped in for a bite to eat. Quite nice lunch. I especially like the jacket potato, though it was a bit of a carb overload since I had mac and cheese, ybunny
's garlic bread, plus the potato. We tried to find some gold candles for ybunny
's mum after lunch at John Lewis, but no luck. I did end up with the iPod Shuffle, however. Yay for my early birthday present! :)
After that, we went to the Vue and saw Robots. A little sappy, but a nice movie. We considered seeing Constantine as well, since we were there, but decided to wait and hopefully see it along with shineyquarter
. On the way home, we passed by Aberdeen City Music Hall. We'd all been looking for a ceilidh to go to while over here. We may end up at one on Friday night. Yay!
Now we're back and watching a film. I've gotten a tentative interview at University of Aberdeen...not sure whether to get excited or not. Meh.
