Well, that's odd.

I had a volume error that required an OS X reinstall. The Tiger Family Pack installation disk is shared amongst a few of us: the disc happens to be in Aberdeen at the moment. Luckily, I'll be there shortly...so, it will be fine. :)

cool, what did you do to it?

Tried to play Phantom of the Opera on it. Probably balked at playing sappy movies. :p

If you need a spare license, let me know.

I own a license, but it's in Aberdeen just now. I can live without it for another 2 weeks or so. :)

Thanks, though. *hugs*

You know, you were the one that had worried over something like that happening and you being without the disk... I think computers read our thoughts and torture us with them. Heh.

Sorry about it... but yeah being without Tiger for a couple of weeks isn't the end of the world... I guess. *wibbles*

Good time to suggest trying a machine thatdoesn't crash as much...... like a PC? ;-)

Funny, my mac is working beautifully and my PC is um... not. ;)

Must be a user error then ;-)

I would agree... except I wasn't even thinking about using it when it borked.

see! Pc's are so fast that they can now do things before you even know you thought of them! The PC knew you were about to think about using it, and so pre-emptively destroyed itself. This then caused you to stay in a little longer than expected, so you didn't inhale the flying peanut, dropped by the child on the way to school, that was thrown up by the truck wheel as it passed by, while the truck driver swore angrily at his Macintosh at home and the fact that his usb modem stopped working under Tiger, which would have flown into your mouth and choked you. The PC saved your life! This is a very common occurence nowadays, but with more and more Mac users around there are far more casual accidents such as this happening, as people spend less time trying to fix broken bits. Maybe i should start a new campaign "Save a life today, ban the Macintosh"
