Feeling at home
1st-Dec-2005 10:24 pm
-birthday smile-
Even though I've been sick this week, friends here in Aberdeen have made sure I've not had a chance to hole up and be a hermit.

I had the second of the ceilidh lessons with percible. We did end up waltzing ourselves literally onto the floor, but exercise is good for a cold. *thumps chest...then hacks and coughs*

Alan and Caroline had me over for a lovely veg soup and Banoffee cake yesterday evening. Definitely can't stay miserable feeling with children underfoot adorable as theirs. Plus, Alan and I had an interesting conversation about canonicity of the Bible.

neepheid came round tonight and amused me greatly. 'Just take the sip quickly!' was his advice. I'm still trying to get that down. It does seem to kill the germs, but I fear I'll never be interested in regular whisky drinking. (Well, having about 1/2 oz take about 36 hours to get down my gullet should tell you something.)

I'm just glad the week's almost over. Woo!

Glad you are feeling a little better. This has been quite a week here too. Lots of elderly (greater than 90) falling and breaking hips. Makes for late nights. Then early morning appendentomies and C-sections. Yea for DP and Earl Gray tea to keep me going. Hope to call you tomorrow, but have to set up bells for Gram. xxxooo

Seriously, though. I hope you're feeling back to yourself soon!

And see, if you were here...you'd have seen him too. :p

But yes, thanks.

Ceilidhing is good :)
Whisky is something I'm only just starting to grow into liking now.

I'm quite clumsy, so the classes are definitely helpful. :)

Oh, also...I hear through the grapevine that you're quite good at such dancing.

I'll add you...if that's acceptable?

She's not "quite good," she's excellent! :)

Talking of canonicity and children, what do you make of those Catholic folk and their decision that maybe this Limbo idea should be gotten rid of ?

Considering that there is no Biblical backing for the state of Limbo...on they go.

I'm not really fussed with the idea either way. I find Catholicism fascinating, but I'm not going to ever switch to it.
