two loves
Caoimhe just rolled over...and fell off the couch.

Silly kitty.
26th-Jul-2006 11:51 pm (UTC) - Hello

I am a total stranger who has just friended you and I thought I should introduce myself. My name is Sara Smith and I will be a graduate student in Aberdeen at RGU in September. I am in desperate need of someone who will take pity on a poor US student and help me figure out the in's and out's of life in Aberdeen. It wouldn't be so bad if I were coming alone, but I am bringing my husband and my 2 year old daughter and our cats so I need help and was hoping against hope that you would be kind enough to help me out.
I hate approaching strangers, but...take a look at my friends page and my profile and see if you wouldn't be willing to add me to your list.

Any fan of Great Big Sea. :) As they say in High Fidelity, 'what really matters is what you like, not what you are like'. Or something. :)

I'm rarely scary, and I only bite Tom (the fiance). I'm definitely willing to give you whatever help.

Welcome to the show.

We'll look after you. Fear not.

Thank you so much! Who are you? I love meeting strangers, but I can't get a handle on who you are exactly. I want to know exactly who I owe my debt of gratitude to.

In case he doesn't come back to the entry, he's the LJ-shy neepheid, aka Matt. (Neep= turnip and heid= head in Scots, fyi.)

He works at the uni and I see him on a semi-regular basis. Our second bedroom is called 'Matt's room' still, as he lived with Tom before I came over.

He'd deny it, but he's a sweetie. :)

Jyll's done all the hard work! Everything she says is true, apart from the sweetie bit ;-)

Told you he'd deny it.

heh. lemme guess, she nonchalantly started to lick herself, like she meant to do that all along?

I was waiting for that, but this time she seemed to have surprised herself so much that she couldn't recover. Just sort of sat there stunned for a minute. That being said, she was dead asleep when she fell off.

I'd feel bad, but I'd moved her back from the edge three times.

Such graceful beasts, they are ;)

roofers does stuff like that all the time. his best frequent klutz move is the running leap towards the couch or bed, only to not quite give enough umph to his jump and hit mid body and sprang back off onto the floor.

Whenever our Penelope makes mistakes like that, I'm more amused by the fact that she gets all embarrassed and wanders around like she meant to do just that.

Oh, it so wounds the dignity, but it's so funny.
