Right...Aberdeen weather is sometimes ridiculous. Case in point: the rain.
It is not raining behind Robert Gordon University.
It is raining on the Gilcomston Steps and Braemar Place.
It is not raining on Rosemount Viaduct.
It is raining on Leadside Road.
It is not raining on Northfield Place and Esslemont Avenue.
Whisky, Tango, Foxtrot?
We went for lunch today to the Dim Sum Inn on George St. I'd noticed it a few times but had dismissed it as a dinner destination because the menu looked ho-hum. toosuto
mentioned it, so I thought we might as well give it a chance.ybunny
and I were not terribly impressed. The place is neither a Dim Sum restaurant, nor an Inn...so you can imagine my disappointment. I had Bean Curd Homestyle and he had the Vegetable Curry. Sides of rice and Broccoli with Oyster Sauce were ordered.
The broccoli was boiled instead of stir fried, which got me into a more critical mood than perhaps was warranted...for, lo, I love stir fried broccoli and even more so with the oyster sauce. The bean curd dish was so-so, nothing great, nothing terrible. The rice was what I would normally call American short grain, an odd choice in a Chinese restaurant. The veg curry had a lovely sauce, but not lovely enough to make me rave about it.
You can see the menu for yourself here
. I've had Dim Sum in Atlanta, New York, and London, so I'm probably expecting too much. Ah, well...
