Why 2 vavs?

The second one is part of a transliteration into Hebrew letters of "vodka," but the first may be a repetition for emphasis, or to disambiguate from another word that would be spelled ודקה or דקה.

The first vav is the v, the second is the o; it's accepted that in transliterated things, there's more indication of vowels using vavs and yods, if possible.
