Christmas food
25th-Dec-2003 01:26 pm
We've feasted. And while no roast beast was consumed, I'm a happy girl.

Last night was the Christmas Midnight Tea.
Cucumber sandwiches, quiche, cookies, coldcuts, petit fours, and punch.
Apparently, we're big enough now to forsake the Welch's in favor of some Meier's, so the punch was lovely.

This morning/afternoon, we had our version of Christmas Brunch.
Scones and crumpet, dried figs and apricots, sausages, and fresh pears.

I think we're supposed to eat a Dinner sometime tonight...
I don't know if I can possibly eat anymore without walking to Asheville and back first. Got to do something other than laze about.

The Dinner will probably be Cornbread dressing, holiday roast, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, and squeaky beans.

I'm going to regain all the weight I've lost in Chicago.

Sounds like good foodtimes!

You're in the Asheville area? just for the holidays, or for usual? (ha, I make lots of sense on Christmas day!) I'm at school in the lovely upstate of that rebel colony to the south of y'all. *cue "Twilight Zone" music*

Randomness. Hehe.

merry christmas!

oooh...quite weird.
In fact we're heading to SoCar (my sister's way of trying to Californianize the whole thing) tomorrow to shop.

Yes, I'm just here for the holidays.
Back to the frozen northland of Chicago on the 3rd.
